Welcome to the latest instalment of mine and Mr 4’s favourite bedtime reads. Hope I have helped you discover something new to read together with your little ones!

Dragon Stew by Steve Smallman

Five bored Vikings went out hiking, looking for adventure, something daring, bold and new. So they thought they’d hunt dragon, and then tie it to their wagon, take it home and chop it up, and make a dragon stew!

Written in rhyme, easy to read and so very funny. I giggle myself everytime I read it!

Use Your Imagination by Nicola O’Byrne

Rabbit is BORED. What shall he do? Luckily, Wolf has the perfect solution. “Why not write a story?” he suggests. And so Wolf teaches Rabbit to use his imagination to create the perfect story… I’ll leave the rest to your imagination :)

The Highway Rat by Julia Donaldson andAxel Scheffler

It rhymes and it’s written by the talented people behind Gruffalo’s Child – what more can I say. Great book and an important lesson for the kids too.
