Welcome to my blog. It’s the place to get to know me a bit better and where I share some of my work, photos from my travels, musings about life, photography and parenthood.
Professional family holiday photos in Notting Hill and Mayfair
This family was visiting over from Hong Kong, and although both parents have studied here (many moons ago) it was the first time for them here as a family of three and a very special trip indeed.
Family-friendly places to explore in Surrey this summer
In this blog post I’m going to share with you my favourite family-friendly places that you can explore with your kids this summer. So if you’re new to the area, visiting, or even have lived here for a while – read on, I’m sure you’ll find something you haven’t tried yet!
Farewell London family photoshoot at London Eye, Millennium Bridge and Tower Bridge
This family was shortly relocating to Singapore and booked a photoshoot with me after googling “a London inspired family photoshoot”, finding my website – and falling in love with my style. That was exactly what they wanted, relaxed natural images of the whole family enjoying their time together with a gorgeous backdrop of London landmarks to complete the picture.
Natural family photography at home in St Margarets
One of my favourite things to do as a documentary family photographer is capture families at home, in their neighbourhood, in their element, without posing or direction.
Family photography in Brooklyn, NYC
Back in September I travelled to New York for the very first time. It was scary and exciting and I shared a little bit of my street photography snapshots on the blog already, but this one’s all about the wonderful family I photographed while there.
Fun photos at home and Esher Common, Surrey
“Antonina was absolutely amazing. The kids immediately felt at ease with her and at the end said: “That was the best photo shoot ever. We had so much fun”. She really did capture what our family is all about and we will cherish those memories forever. I would definitely recommend her”.
Bedtime routine
This little chap absolutely loved his books and I really enjoyed capturing this series of images of him and his dad reading (or shall I say, acting!) The Gruffalo. As I mentioned in my post about why it’s always a good idea to include books into your photoshoot, it’s important to capture it for so many reasons, and you can totally see why here.
Impressions of New York – on a smartphone
Back in September I spent 5 days in New York, part work (photographing my long-term clients after they’d moved back there from London) and part play. It was nice to get away and have time to explore the city by myself, without a little person in tow. It’s been a while since I could just walk the streets and absorb the sights and sounds of an unfamiliar world – something I haven’t really felt since I first came to live in London back in 2005.
ABOUT ME
I’m Antonina, a London family photographer who takes a photojournalistic approach.
I’m a recovering lawyer, an imperfect mother and a book junkie.
