I’ve always loved water and splashing in the sea or a river or a swimming pool – and it’s still my happy place. There’s something about watching water run and the waves splash that is very, very good for my soul.
This expecting mama got in touch with me as she wanted to document the transition from one child to two with beautiful storytelling photographs and an album. She could already see her life changing, and that’s what attracted her to my honest, documentary storytelling.
This family was visiting over from Hong Kong, and although both parents have studied here (many moons ago) it was the first time for them here as a family of three and a very special trip indeed.

One of my favourite things to do as a documentary family photographer is capture families at home, in their neighbourhood, in their element, without posing or direction.
